Obituary

Bryan Scott Blystone, born August 11, 1970, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Soap Lake, Washington, after a short and courageous battle with ALS.

Bryan was the son of Earl Bryan Blystone Jr. and Yvonne Rae Bair.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Stephen.

He is survived by his siblings Cheryl, Sharon, Nolan, Victoria, and Douglas, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Bryan spent many years as a truck driver for Swift Transportation, traveling across the country and seeing more of America than most people ever will. In his later years, he embraced a life of freedom and movement, walking and bicycling across the United States from Maine to Arizona. He lived out his final year in his favorite state of Washington, a place where he found peace, independence, and the open landscapes he loved. His adventurous spirit, quiet independence, and determination shaped a life uniquely his own.

He will be laid to rest in a private service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Pennsylvania, alongside his father and grandparents.

Bryan will be remembered for his resilience, his wandering heart, and the path he carved with courage and authenticity.
