Darrell Joe Merry was born in Missoula, MT on September 22, 1955. The youngest of 5 sons to James and Betty Jane Merry. He was called to meet his Heavenly Father on August 16, 2024 at the age of 68. Growing up in the Yakima Valley, Joe joined the military after attending Sunnyside High School.  After an honorable discharge, Joe had a decorated 32 year career in law enforcement. Joe loved all things outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. When he was outdoors he could be found rooting for the Seattle Mariners. Joe is survived by his son Matthew Merry & granddaughter Hailey Merry.

Additionally he is survived by his brothers Rod, Mark and Vaughn Merry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Ben Merry and brother Stephen Merry. Joe was a father, brother, friend, mentor and so much more. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
