Obituary

Frederick Gary Bartsch - Born Phoenix Arizona - Deceased in Richland Washington

Fred was an important person to many. He served his country for 23 years in the Air Force, as a small engine mechanic, at several bases all over the world. He fed so many people for over 35 years with his two food businesses, BS Express and Almost Gourmet. He sold houses around the Tri-Cities with a reputation of being honest. He supported and participated in several motorcycle groups. He provided for and loved his family dearly.

I am April, his second love. I met Fred when I reached out to a realtor to help me buy a house. I had little means and I was looking for something that I could afford. I had 4 children, Amber, Renna, Neil, Mikaela and 4 grandchildren, Haily, Aaron, Allysa and Isabella. The home would be for myself and the 2 children that still lived at home. He had 2 children Robin and Ricky and 2 grandchildren Ashley and Kellen. His first love Dottie had passed away a year prior.

After signing the contract to buy a house he asked me on a date. With 26 years difference in our age I wasn't sure but I said yes. He turned out to be a good man. He treated our families kindly and we were all one family to him.

Our family expanded to have more grandchildren, Eden, Scarlet, Zoe, Jordan, Maxwell, Elinor, Xavier, Rylee, Ariel, Archer and Atlas.

What he liked to do most, other than work, was to ride motorcycles. He also liked to swim in the river, take naps under a shade tree and play tennis and table tennis. Fred liked to include as much family as he could while doing the things he loved.

We have so many good memories of him and with him, he is missed.
