John Bruce Calhoun was born on October 4, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, to John B. Calhoun and Evelyn Rose Maloski. He later married Susan Calhoun, with whom he shared his life and family.

John proudly served in the United States Army before beginning a long professional career. He worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) as a Contracts Procurement Specialist, where he was known for his dedication and professionalism.

In 1983, John made the Tri-Cities his home, where he remained an active and valued member of the community for many years. He will be remembered for his service to his country, his commitment to his work, and his devotion to his family.
