In Loving Memory of Mica Craig Jones

Mica Craig Jones passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at his home in Richland, WA, after an extended illness. In his final moments, he was surrounded by his loving mother and friends, reflecting on the close relationships he cherished throughout his life.

Born on July 31, 1962, in Wenatchee, WA, Mica developed a deep love for the outdoors as a child. He found joy in camping, hiking, and climbing, pursuits that showcased his adventurous spirit and his profound appreciation for nature.

Mica’s greatest passion was music. He was an accomplished guitarist and was a member of four heavy metal and grunge bands during the 1980s. His creativity and talent were evident in the numerous songs he composed, leaving a lasting impression on listeners. Apart from his musical abilities, Mica was also deeply passionate about painting and drawing.

Mica is remembered for his warmth, friendship, wit, and humor, as well as the unforgettable memories he shared with others. His kindness touched everyone he met, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mica was predeceased by his father, Willie Jones, his grandmother, Dorothy Dean, and his aunt Hazel Chambers. He is survived by his mother, Theresa Aldridge; sisters, Cindy Jones (Paul Lawrence) and Viki Nana (Angel); his nephew, Joey McCoskey; as well as his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his devoted German shepherd, Jax Jones.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Mica’s caregiver, Robin Kennedy, for her unwavering devotion and love to him.
